Lowering springs, coilovers and air bags

Lowering springs and coilovers if you want the truck to sit low, air bags if it tows or you want adjustable height, and an alignment after any of it.

Lowering springs and coilovers

Lowering the truck and keeping it drivable.

A lowering spring drops the truck a set amount and keeps the factory shock. A coilover replaces the spring and the shock together, and most of them let you set the height after the install.

Either way the geometry changes, so we align it before it leaves. We also check what the drop does to the tire against the arch before anything is ordered, so the truck still clears a driveway ramp.

Air bags, from helper bags to a full air ride.

  • Helper bags on a truck that tows or carries weight, so the rear stops sagging under a load and rides normally empty.
  • Air ride kits, if you want the truck low and still able to clear a speed bump: a compressor, a tank, and bags at each corner you adjust from the cab.
  • Air bags with a lowering setup, for a low truck that still gets driven every day.

Factory air suspension back to coils.

Factory air suspension has a compressor, a valve block, lines, height sensors and a bag at each corner, and each of those parts can fail. When the repairs start costing more than the system is worth, we convert it to a conventional coil spring over a shock at each corner, and align it.

The conversion takes out the compressor, the valve block, the lines, the sensors and the bags, and puts a conventional coil spring over a shock at each corner. Fewer parts, and none of them electronic.

Alignments, shocks and front end

The rest of the work under the truck.

  • Alignments. Camber, caster and toe, after any change in ride height and as a job on its own when the truck pulls or wears a tire on one edge.
  • Shocks and springs. Replacement and upgrade, on standard height trucks as well as lifted and lowered ones.
  • Front end. We show you any worn part before we replace it.
  • Transmissions, offroad performance and maintenance. Quoted per truck, in the same shop.

Suspension work is quoted per truck. Call the shop and describe what it’s doing.
